This Month’s Campout – Lock-In at High Point (December 5th)
Ah, December. The month of Christmas, snow, and this upcoming “campout”. If this is the only “campout” you’ll ever go to this year, you won’t be disappointed.
It’s a tradition at this point: at the end of every year, Scouts spend a full night at Huntsville’s High Point, where they get to live out their childhood dream of sprinting about a huge building with hundreds of hiding spots. High Point offers a rock climbing experience all in one building, with multiple variations and obstacles to overcome, as well as ample space to run around. There’s no one rule that Scouts have to follow: one does their own thing, whether it’s to sleep through the whole thing or stay up all night. One thing is for sure, though: it’s going to be a long night of pure fun.
Things to bring: Water bottle, sleeping bag, change of clothes (Scouts will get sweaty) Optional: Money (there are vending machines)
Note: Socks and climbing shoes will be provided there. Other than that, enjoy the night!
