Current Troop Annual Plan (Outdated)
October – Guntersville State Park (24th – 26th)
On the 24th, Scouts will depart for Guntersville State Park, where they will hone their Scout skills. Also joining are a few Arrow of Light Scouts to assist in their journey and join in on the fun. We look forward to attending the 18-hole golf course, the Screaming Eagle Zipline, a beach complex, and excellent fishing in Alabama’s largest lake. Scouts will return on the morning of the 26th.
Upcoming Campouts
These campouts have already been decided on, but not many details are known about them (apart from December’s):
- November – Camp Jackson
- December – Lock-In at High Point
- January – Meather State Park (USS Alabama)
- February – Shooting Sports (Archery)
- March – Camporee
- April – Canoeing/Fishing
- May – Great Smoky Mountains National Park
- June – Summer Camp
- July – White Water
- August – Watersports
- September – Nashville Car Museum
December – Lock-In at High Point
It’s a tradition at this point: at the end of every year, Scouts spend a full night in Huntsville’s High Point. There’s no one rule that Scouts have to follow; one does their own thing, whether it’s to sleep through the whole thing or stay up all night. One thing is for sure, though: it’s going to be a long night of pure fun.
