Subject: Troop 351 Adult Planning Meeting - feedback
requested
Parents and Adult Leaders of Troop 351 Scouts,
Do you want to get or stay involved in our Troop? Not
sure where to start or what you can do to help? Can't dedicate a lot of
time? Our upcoming planning event will be an opportunity to get answers to
these questions. Your feedback on when we schedule it is appreciated.
Our Scouts recently developed their plan for the major
2023-2024 Troop activities. We will be hosting an adult planning meeting to
jumpstart our support plan for their events. Attendance is open for all
adults involved in the Troop - registered, unregistered; parents, etc. who
might be able to help in some way - big or small - during the year.
Realizing everyone's schedule is full, we've identified
several options for scheduling this - 2 on a weeknight and 2 on a Sunday
afternoon. Please follow the link below and sign up for ALL dates that work
for you - we'll choose the one with the best responses or look for other
dates/times if needed. If none work for you but you want to participate,
email me directly and let me know. Current plan is to reserve space at
Asbury.

Meeting purpose: Overarching purpose is to complete adult
planning, resourcing, and training well ahead of events to ensure safe and
effective opportunities for or Scouts and to improve predictability for
family schedules
1. Identify a lead planner/Trekmaster for each event on our annual plan
2. Identify adult training requirements to conduct the events in
accordance with BSA Guide to Safe Scouting
3. Identify and program Troop level pre-requisite training activities
that require adult support
4. Provide insight to parents about opportunities to get involved
Please provide feedback by this Sunday if possible. Thanks.
YIS,
Rob Sleasman
