[Troop351] Time to go backpacking

We are going backpacking this weekend at Savage Gulf State Park in
Tennessee.  I will send out a detailed route before we depart.  Here is our
current itinerary

Camp Friday night at Stone Door trail head.
Hike down along the water on Saturday (Big Creek Gulf Tr)
Camp at Alum Gap Saturday night.
Return to Stone Door trail head on one of the upper trails Sunday. (Laurel
Tr)

We talked about packing for a backpacking trip at the meeting today.  Plan
to bring what's necessary, but don't plan on extras.  You will need food,
water, shelter and scout essentials.  We can share water filters, but
extras are nice to have.  We can share camp stoves.  Plan for some high
calorie meals and snacks.

Meet at the scout shed: 5:30pm.  Eat before or bring dinner.  We will
depart quickly since all gear will go in vehicles.  We will not bring the
trailer.
We expect to return to Asbury close to 12pm.  We may arrive earlier if our
return hike goes quickly.
