[Troop351] Weekend Camping Plans

Please meet at the scout shed at *5:30am tomorrow* (Saturday) morning. We
will need all the time we can get in the morning to account for travel
time, safety instruction time, and the travel from Grimes to the canoe
launch. I left off the all trails links in the last email, so I've
included them here:
Saturday:

What to bring:
Meals:
Bring a breakfast to eat on the road.
Saturday no-cook lunch
Saturday dinner (mre or dehydrated)
Sunday breakfast (mre or dehydrated)
+snacks - canoeing can burn some calories
Gear:
dry bag or 5 gal bucket to keep gear dry
rope or clip to attach to canoe
Water Bottle (with water)
Pocket knife
first-aid kit
flashlight/head lamp (for camp)
Sun protection (sunscreen and hat even for a cloudy day)
Change of clothes - expect to get wet, need dry clothes to sleep in and
something for Sunday
Water shoes or closed toed sandals
Sleeping bag, sleeping pad
tent
eating utensils
ziploc bag for trash
Additional Gear:
Water filter to share
backpacking stove
