Summer Camp is 7 weeks away, and it's time to think about the gear you need
for camp. I've attached a packing list from the leader guide
<https://1bsa.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/2024-Sequoyah-Leader-Guide.pdf>.
The first page of the attached pdf has some general information, and a
suggested packing list is on the second page. The packing list does not
point out that you must wear close toed shoes, but it is required for all
areas except for the showers. Open toe sandals are not allowed for camp.
They are encouraged for the shower.
We will be camping in tents with cots and mattresses provided.

You will want to pack gear in something that is weather resistant and can
hold personal gear while it is not in use. Items that are not packed away
and left on the floor may get wet if we have a hard rain. A plastic tote
or footlocker can be used for camp and is sufficient to keep things dry and
clean. Here's an example footlocker at walmart
<https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-Footlocker-Plastic-Black/16415912>.
The tents are provided by the camp, and we will have two campers per tent.
If you prefer a hammock or a personal tent, you are welcome to bring one.
