It rocks. Get your scout on it. (which requires a parent to be on it).
If you are new to it checkout this poll

Scouting encourages an amazing combination of independence and
responsibility...with adult oversight for safety and resources.

If you get your scout in scout book, you get visibility into their
progress...but it also can simplify event planning.

Example,

   1. Its November...Luke or Sam or Logan or Bao want to go canoeing in
   March.
   2. They open up the app (or goto the website...not everyone has a
phone), and RSVP, maybe (or yes).
   3. Parent gets notified
   4. Parent puts into the family calendar, with a reminder to get a 5
gallon bucket the weekend before. Boom, done.
      1. 5 gallon buckets are a "must have" on a canoeing campout. :)
   5. Or.... parent is like, no way, thats the weekend we're cleaning your
room...and yes, it will take the whole weekend. --- scout changes it from
   a maybe to a no.

Scout gets the independence to select what they are interested in, has the
responsibility to plan for it...but parents still get oversight.

Its easy, its helpful, and will be the default way of doing most things in
2023; scout book.

:)
