[Troop351] Philmont High Adventure Interest and Planning

All,

The troop is working towards a trip to Philmont trek.  Parents and scouts
should discuss this to see if there is interest in doing this.  We will
have 2 parent interest meetings coming up.  The first one is after the
court of honor on August 3rd.  The second will be during the regular troop
meeting August 10th.  Come to one or both.

Scouts must be 14 years old or 13 and completed the 8th grade by the time
the trek begins.  Scouts attending will have additional required hikes as
you get in condition to attend a many day backpacking trip.  There are also
significant costs for camp, transportation, and equipment appropriate for
the trek.

You can come just to learn more, but we will be looking for commitments
soon.
