Below are some important notes for the upcoming Talladega trip on April
25-27th. Please read carefully.

   - Talladega Motor Speedway is a CASHLESS venue. All scouts will need
some form of payment (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are
   accepted).
      - For Sunday's lunch, the scouts will be purchasing their own lunch
      from the concession stands.
      - For Sunday dinner, the scouts will either be purchasing a fast food
dinner or some snacks to hold them over until they get home.
      - Scouts often want to buy additional concessions during the race.
      - We will likely be stopping at Buc-ee's on Friday night to fill up
on gas. Scouts often like to buy a snack here as well,
   - Food is about 1/2 price in the Garage Experience, so Scouts should be
encouraged to buy lunch there before the Sunday race.
   - Outside food and drinks are allowed in the grandstands but not in
the garage experience. Still bring a water bottle but be prepared to buy
water from concessions to fill up your water bottle when not at the
   campsite.
   - Scouts and adults will wear Class-A uniform at all times when not at
   the campground.
   - Scouts need a day pack with:
      - Water bottle
      - Sunscreen
      - Ear protection (plugs and/or muffs). It will be loud during sleep
hours, bring a couple pairs of plugs. Highly recommend over-the-ear
      protection during the race.
      - Credit/debit card (CASHLESS VENUE)
      - Poncho
      - Hat
   - Grubmasters need to bring packing supplies (e.g. ziploc bags) for
Saturday lunch. Lunch will be packed Saturday morning right after cooking
breakfast before heading to the track. We will cook Saturday dinner at our
campsite. Normal quick breakfast Sunday morning.
   - The tickets are digital this year and will be managed by the adult
leaders. Adults will be with the scouts as we transition between different
ticketing areas (garage experience vs. grandstands). The buddy system will
be strictly enforced. If a scout has a phone, please bring it (and a way to
charge it). Each buddy group will require at least one scout with a phone
and the adults will coordinate communication and timing of buddy groups
that want to venture out in the vicinity of where the group is located.
   - Hammock spots are very limited and may not be available.

Thanks to Adam Fleming and Justin Vaden for putting this together. This
should be a fun trip.
