In August, the troop made a list of campouts that they would like to attend
over the next 12 months.  One of those is camping at the April Talladega
race.  Mrs. Smith has posted to band to collect feedback on those that
would like to attend.  We need to have an estimate of the number of people
that attend so that we can book tickets.  In addition to scouts, this trip
needs adults who can lead and support this trip.  For adults, we need at
least 2 that can commit to this trip.  Please email me if you are available
and can commit to a campout at the Talladega race April 25-27 (or if you
just have questions).

Not on our calendar, but available to scouts is a Winter NYLT course
<https://1bsa.org/nylt/> January 18-20 and February 15-17 at Camp Comer.  I
need a list of scouts that plan to attend so we can schedule an
Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) course as soon as
possible for these scouts.  Once the troop has an ILST date, it will be
open to all scouts but is a requirement for those attending NYLT.

We've made a few other changes to our calendar as we started getting
feedback on our reservation.  Below is our current plan for 2025.

January 17-19 - Shooting Sports at Cavern Cove Competitive Shooting
February (TBD) - Backpacking
March 28-30 - Camporee
April 25-27 - Talladega
May (TBD) - Monte Sano - Cycling
June 15-21 - Summer Camp - Watch for more information on location and
additional details soon.
July (TBD) - Pensacola Naval Station
August (TBD) - Planning Campout, at Mr. Gaertner's (Smith Lake) if available

We also have our lock-in scheduled this Friday Dec. 13th.
