*Cost:*
Included in dues
*When:*
*We will meet at the scout shed at 2:30 and 4:30pm Friday*, please eat
before you come (or bring with you to eat in the car). Since we have a
long drive please be prompt so we can get on the road as soon as possible.
We should be back mid morning on Sunday (target 12:30) but that time might
change if we stop for lunch.
Since this is a longer drive (well worth the time...so much fun) the adults
have offered an earlier time for the scouts that want to have more camping
time (and setup in the light).
- There is a group leaving at 3:00pm. If we can *get 8 scouts that can
leave at 3 then it will be 2 cars* leaving in time to get to their (east
time zone) destination while there is still some light and the ability to
do things in the camp ground.
- The other 2 cars (with 8 scouts) are trying to leave as close to
4:30pm as possible (already know that some scouts can't arrive until 4:50).
The travel is a little farther then most of our trips and leaving ASAP
is best.
*What to Bring*
*Gear Needed:* Toiletries, flashlight, mess kit, sleeping bag, mattress
pad, scout book, sun protection, clothing, extra socks, towels, water
shoes, personal tent(no hammock), bottle, etc.
*Other Gear: Day pack to carry stuff, *notebook, pencil, first aid kit and
other items
*Health Forms:* Everyone must have an up to date part “A” & “B” on file
with the troop, part “C” is not needed.
*Personal Gear* – There is a low chance of rain every day, but temps could
fluctuate between high 60's at night and high 80's during the day. Be sure
to have appropriate clothing and sleeping gear to keep you warm at night
and cool during the day (layers), pack plenty of socks to ensure dry feet,
and rain gear. *Have water shoes and *a towel.
