[Troop351] THIS WEEKEND: Fort Morgan Campout

It's Time to Go Camping!
I hope everyone is ready for some fun in the sun! The forecast for Fort Morgan this weekend looks like highs in the high-50s (we could see 60's) and lows in the mid-40s. There will be sun, but probably some wind and there's always a chance for some rain.
We'll be meeting at the Asbury Scout Shed at 5:00pm; trailer will be loaded and doors closed by 5:29pm...don't be late. Friday night we are headed to Fam-Camp on Maxwell Air Force Base, and onto Fort Morgan on Saturday morning.
We should be returning by mid-afternoon on Monday.
We'll be hiking on Dauphin Island on Sunday. If you are working on the cooking merit badge requirements, we could plan to eat meals on the trail: lunch and dinner, plus a snack. The lunch can be as simple as packing sandwiches and some fruit, and simple trail dinners often include dehydrated food (oatmeal, mashed potatoes, etc.), so if you have a jet boil, you may want to bring it. Also: be sure to bring a water bottle for the hike.
Pack a tent for Friday night, and if you'd like to sleep in a tent the other nights, there will be space available, but you'll have to take down your tent each morning.
I also recommend a flashlight or headlamp for nighttime capture-the-flag, and a ground pad for your bunk.  Some bunks have a thin mattress, and they are sometimes old and uncomfortable.
