Its time to go camping!  With bonus!

*Bonus: Thursday night Q&A*
I invite all of you to attend this short Q&A Thursday night at 6:30pm.  Its
mainly for the group going backpacking, and everyone should feel free to
listen in.

*We are looking forward to an awesome backpacking trip this weekend at
Savage Gulf!*

We will meet at Asbury at *5 pm* on Friday to carpool up. Please bring a
meal to eat while we drive to TN.

Friday night we will stay at Savage Station Campsite 4. Saturday we will
hike to Hobbs Cabin Campsight 8. Sunday we will hike back to Savage Ranger
Station and go home. Both days will be approximately 8 miles of hiking.

It's important that everyone brings the right gear for winter backpacking.
Weather is forecast for 20 degrees Friday night and 51 degrees Saturday
during the day. This means* bringing layers* to wear and proper sleeping
equipment. Friday night we are *camping near the parking lot* so bring
extra blankets that we can leave in the vehicles Saturday morning.

Please bring at least *4 liters of water* and dehydrated meals/snacks *for
3 meals* on Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday.

I use Philmont’s gear list (

will have a Jet Boil and a water filter.
